First Lady Remi Tinubu has announced that Nigeria’s economy is stabilising, with increasing foreign reserves and decreasing inflation.
Speaking at the One-Day Women Stakeholders’ Mobilization and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu highlighted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms are attracting investors back to Nigeria and supporting farmers, while students are now able to access loans to fund their university education.
The summit, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027,” saw participation from APC delegates and various women’s associations, including the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN), who endorsed the president.
Tinubu urged attendees to support the administration by voting for the APC in the upcoming elections, asserting that trust in the president would lead to prosperity. She claimed, “Our economy is stabilising, inflation is coming down, and our foreign reserves are growing. Investors are returning to Nigeria, and our farmers are getting more support.”
Additionally, wives of the House of Representatives members expressed their commitment to securing 20,000 votes per constituency for the president in the 2027 election. Hajiya Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, representing the lawmakers’ spouses, praised the Tinubu administration for its focus on education and family welfare, calling for unity among women in campaigning for the APC.
She urged women to engage in door-to-door campaigns to galvanise support ahead of the elections.
