Trump Rally Disrupted by Protesters in Georgia
Donald Trump’s rally in Dalton, Georgia, was interrupted by three protesters who displayed signs opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). They were swiftly removed by members of the audience, including a man wearing a yellow Gadsden flag as a cape.
The protesters highlighted concerns over the potential deployment of ICE officers to polling locations on election day, a measure the Trump administration has not dismissed.
After the disruption, Trump resumed his speech, mistakenly complimenting “the woman in the yellow cape,” referring instead to the man with the flag who had confronted the protesters. He praised the crowd’s response to the activists, stating, “She went up there, ripped them out of their seats and threw them the hell out of here. Where’s the woman with the yellow cape, then? She was great.”
During the rally, Trump continued his attacks on Democratic Senate candidate Jon Ossoff, asserting that he was responsible for Ossoff’s defeat in a previous election while omitting mention of their 2020 Senate race, which Ossoff won.
The rally took place as Trump moved across the state to support Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterms.
