The All Progressives Congress (APC) youth in the South-West have praised the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, for his initiatives aimed at developing young Nigerians.
APC South-West Youth Leader, Adesuyi Daramola, thanked the monarch for his ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, economic development, and preserving Yoruba culture.
In a statement from the Media and Publicity Director for the APC South-West Youth Leader, Remilekun Oyelowo, Daramola expressed these sentiments during the 2026 Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife. He described the Ooni as a “father figure” who genuinely cares for the welfare and aspirations of the youth, especially those in the South-West.
Daramola highlighted that the Ooni’s projects have fostered entrepreneurship, created jobs, and provided young Nigerians with opportunities to enhance their livelihoods. He also praised the Ooni for advocating responsible leadership, urging political leaders to prioritise the welfare of citizens over their own interests.
“The Ooni’s message is timely and vital. Responsive leadership and a supportive environment are crucial for national development,” he added.
Describing the Olojo Festival as a celebration of Ile-Ife’s rich culture, Daramola noted its themes of thanksgiving, renewal, and unity, which promote peace and social cohesion.
He encouraged Nigerian youths to remain peaceful and engaged in community development, urging them to seize legitimate opportunities to positively impact their communities and the nation. Daramola also wished the people of Ile-Ife and all Nigerians celebrating the festival peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
