Dr Olusegun Osinkolu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ekiti North Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, has committed to ensuring inclusive and accessible representation if he is elected.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, Osinkolu expressed that his election would address the perceived neglect of the district. During his tour of the five local government areas—Moba, Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje, Oye, and Ikole—he highlighted the district’s development challenges, which he attributed to the indifference of its current National Assembly representatives.
Osinkolu stated, “The 2027 senatorial election provides an opportunity for change. I urge everyone to vote for me, regardless of party affiliation.”
He promised to focus on youth and women’s empowerment, quality education, enhanced healthcare, agricultural development, and effective legislation to boost federal support for the region.
He praised PDP supporters for their dedication and expressed confidence in a strong electoral performance, declaring, “The PDP will undoubtedly return to power in the 2027 elections with a convincing victory in Ekiti North.”
Osinkolu encouraged party unity and grassroots mobilisation as crucial for the upcoming elections, assuring that if elected, he would prioritise the welfare of the electorate in his decisions.
