Sierra Leonean fintech firm Flot has kicked off a nationwide campaign called “Link & Win” to encourage customers to connect their mobile wallets to bank accounts. The campaign will select 40 cash winners each Friday and offer a grand prize of a trip for two to Dubai at its conclusion.
Running from 1st October to 31st December 2026, the initiative is a collaboration with Zenith Bank Sierra Leone and Sky Bank Sierra Leone, with Ecobank Sierra Leone set to join soon. Customers can qualify for weekly prize draws by linking their eligible bank account to their Flot wallet and completing a transaction, either transferring money to or from their account.
Each Friday, 40 customers will receive cash prizes ranging from SLE 200 to SLE 2,000, with one customer winning the Dubai trip after 13 weeks. The draws will be conducted transparently, and winners will be announced weekly through Flot’s official channels. No purchase is necessary to enter, but standard transaction fees may apply.
David Kpakima, CEO of Open Banking Hub, which operates Flot, stated, “Link & Win seeks to bridge the gap between mobile wallets and traditional banking, making transactions more rewarding.” He emphasised the aim of increasing formal financial system participation, noting that Flot and its banking partners will also assist those without bank accounts, or those with inactive accounts, in opening or reactivating them to participate.
Ugochukwu Irechukwu, Managing Director and CEO of Zenith Bank Sierra Leone, highlighted the partnership’s focus on innovation and customer service. He explained that linking a wallet to a bank account brings customers into the formal financial system, providing security and access to further benefits beyond immediate prizes.
To join “Link & Win”, customers must download the Flot app or use an existing Flot wallet, complete the verification process, and link to a qualifying Zenith Bank or Sky Bank account. Qualifying transactions will automatically enter customers into the weekly Friday draw.
Flot emphasised the transparency of the selection process, stating that all campaign rules and terms are available through its communication channels. The company reassured that no special fees are required to use the service, aside from normal transaction fees, and that partner banks will assist customers in broadening participation.
