A fire broke out at the Gombe Media Corporation (GMC) on Saturday afternoon, destroying several areas of the premises, including the old television studio, maintenance section, radio library, News Director’s office, and accommodation for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.

The incident occurred around 3:50 PM and resulted in damage to both corporate property and personal belongings of staff and NYSC members. Fire service teams from both state and federal levels responded promptly to tackle the blaze and bring it under control.
No casualties have been reported as investigations into the cause of the fire are set to begin.
