The incident occurred opposite Mega Primary School, where a video shared by Crest FM showed residents reacting in shock. Eyewitnesses reported that the officer attempted to stop the truck, which was already in the fast lane, but was unable to do so.
The officer became trapped under the trailer after being struck, leaving those nearby in distress. The footage also depicted his colleagues in a state of panic as bystanders gathered around the scene.
