President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has prayed for Nigeria’s rich diversity to be a source of prosperity, unity, peace, and sustainable development for all Nigerians. He made the call during a dinner with his delegation in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.
In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu expressed his hope that Nigeria’s ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity would enhance national growth rather than create divisions. He emphasised the importance of mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
Tinubu prayed for enduring peace and prosperity for Nigeria and requested that leaders be endowed with the wisdom and courage to guide the nation towards better living conditions. He remarked, “May Almighty Allah bless Nigeria and convert our diversity into prosperity.”
The President also called for divine guidance for all Nigerians, asking Allah to reinforce unity and inspire a spirit of patriotism and service to the nation. He highlighted the potential of Nigeria’s abundant resources and the creativity of its people as key to building a prosperous, inclusive society.
During the dinner, various members of his delegation reflected on their shared aspirations for Nigeria’s future. Among them was Alhaji Abdulsamad Isiaka Rabiu, Chairman of BUA, who praised Tinubu’s commitment to peace and prosperity and reiterated their support for his leadership.
Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq also expressed admiration for Tinubu’s dedication to creating a united country, while Attorney-General Mr Lateef Fagbemi prayed for the President’s continued strength in delivering justice and governance for all.
